In 1975, senior partner James Van Dillen went to work for Jack Schiff, who founded our firm in 1935. Fellow SLU law graduate Patricia Flood joined the firm in 1979, and became a partner in Schiff, Van Dillen & Flood, P.C. in 1987. The firm assumed its present name after Mr. Schiff's retirement in 1994, and celebrated its 70th anniversary last year.
Notwithstanding its long and rich tradition, our firm has never stood still in adapting to the latest information and litigation management technologies. Today, virtually our entire caseload is maintained and documented in data networks that allow us to expand our case volume with better client reporting capacity and less risk of missed communications or deadlines. In our debt collections practice alone, we filed more than 1,600 cases in 2005, and we were able to let every client know the current status of any given file in a matter of seconds.
We've been able to integrate data management systems to support our bankruptcy, business, landlord-tenant, and personal injury practices as well. To find out how we synthesize 21st-century technologies with the older and more enduring values of professional integrity and client service, contact the St. Louis business and litigation attorneys at Van Dillen & Flood.
